What you'll learn

  • Browsing the Directory of agents your team has built
  • Understanding Scout proposals (automatic hiring recommendations)
  • Accepting an agent and running it on a schedule
  • Monitoring agent activity and results

What is an AI Agent?

An AI agent is a small, focused automation that runs on a schedule and does one thing well. Examples:

  • Draft call summaries every morning
  • Flag deals at risk every evening
  • Triage support tickets by urgency
  • Sync customer data between tools

You hire them like you'd hire a team member: interview, configure, onboard, and manage.

The Directory

The Directory shows all agents available to your team. For each agent, you see:

  • Name & mission — what it does
  • Receipt — estimated time saved per month (e.g. "~36 hours")
  • Activity — when it last ran and how many times it's been used
  • Owner — who built it (usually someone on your team)
  • Status — active, paused, or retired

Click an agent to see details, run it manually, or hire it for your team.

Scout Proposals

Scout is Nole's automatic hiring system. It watches your work and proposes agents that would save you time. You'll see proposals like:

  • "You've drafted 25 call summaries this month. Hire the Call Wrap-Up agent to save ~3 hrs/mo."
  • "Support has 15+ missed calls. Hire Missed-Call Recovery to draft follow-ups."

Review each proposal, then Accept to hire it or Dismiss if it's not relevant.

Accepting & Running

When you Accept an agent:

  • It starts in Shadow mode (runs, but doesn't take action autonomously)
  • You see results in a private channel or your inbox
  • After 1–2 cycles, you can promote it to Active if you're happy with it

Set the schedule (hourly, daily, weekly) and Nole runs it automatically.

Monitoring & Pausing

In the Manage tab, you can:

  • View activity — see when the agent last ran and what it produced
  • Pause — temporarily stop it without removing it
  • Adjust schedule — change the run frequency
  • Retire — stop using it (you can rehire it later)

If an agent's not working out, just pause it. No harm, no foul.
